Youth Empowerment
Since 2011, ETI has implemented our direct service programs with blind children, youth with visual impairments, their families, and general members of the community in Lebanon. Our programs focus on the transforming mindsets and misconceptions about disabilities and they aim to:
empower youth with disabilities
promote awareness about their potentials and abilities
advance authentic inclusion
We are grateful and honored to have implemented our Empowerment Programs in Lebanon with key international and national partners, such as United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and Makhzoumi Foundation, respectively, among others.
During the implementation of our programs, we provided activities and training to youth with and without disabilities on the following:
Orientation & Mobility (O&M)
Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
Social Literacy
STEM
Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Improvisation & Storytelling
Fitness & Recreation
Arts
Capoeira (in partnership with Association Filhos de Bimba – Lebanon)
Yoga

We are proud to engage with local universities and partners in the community in Lebanon for our Youth Empowerment Programs. It is because of these key partnerships on the ground that ETI has been able to promote continued sustainable systemic change within communities in Lebanon, and the support of these essential community stakeholders highlights their belief in our mission to empower youth with disabilities. We would like to recognize and acknowledge the invaluable contributions of these universities in Lebanon who kindly supported us with venues for the implementation of our programs:
