Erin Fitzgerald

The daughter of two public school teachers, Erin has worked to ensure opportunity for those who need it most for more than a decade. As a Strategist at Timshel, she leads organizations in their work to build capacity and scale programmatic impact. Earlier in her career, Erin served in the Obama Administration, working at the White House and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She has also worked in the U.S. Senate, on the 2008 Obama campaign, and in an advisory capacity to numerous nonprofits including those focused on post-9/11 veteran reintegration and disability rights. Erin earned her B.S. from Northwestern University and her M.P.P. from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, where she taught community organizing with Professor Marshall Ganz. A native of the Chicago area, Erin serves on the Associate Board of the Sargent Shriver National Center for Poverty Law.
